چکیده
Enabling the direct infiltration of freeze-cast graphene structures with water-based ceramic suspensions, otherwise prevented by graphene’s intrinsic hydrophobic behaviour, can lead to production hierarchical graphene/ceramic composites in a cost-effective and replicable manner. In this study, addition triblock copolymer (PF127) formulation alumina slurries was used allow integration reduced oxide (rGO) scaffolds combining freeze-casting, wet chemistry processing Spark Plasma Sintering. Wettability tests were performed optimise composition suspension, leading preservation alignment embedded rGO maintaining channel widths 5–15▒ μ m upon sintering at 1500 ∘ C.

Amphiphilic polymers have recently garnered much attention due to their potential use in drug-delivery and other biomedical applications. A modular synthesis of these polymers is extremely desirable since it offers precise individual block characterization and increased yields. We present here for the first time a modular synthesis of poly(oxazoline)-poly(siloxane)-poly(oxazoline) block copolym...

Organized arrays of anisotropic nanoparticles show electronic and optical properties that originate from the coupling of shape-dependent properties of the individual nanorods. The organization of nanorods in a controllable and predictable way provides a route to the fabrication of new materials and functional devices. So far, significant progress has been achieved in the self-assembly of nanoro...

In this paper, the dynamic assembly of toroidal micelle structures of amphiphilic triblock copolymers in dilute solution has been investigated using dissipative particle dynamics simulations. The amphiphilic molecule is represented by a coarse-grained model, which contains hydrophilic and hydrophobic particles. Some microstructures of complex morphology having toroidal micelles have been observ...
متن کاملSynthesis of amphiphilic triblock copolymers as multidentate ligands for biocompatible coating of quantum dots.
One barrier to apply current tri-octylphosphine oxide (TOPO) based quantum dots (QDs) to biomedical imaging is that the TOPO on TOPO-QDs can be replaced by the proteins in living system, which may cause the degradation of QDs and/or deactivation of protein. In order to develop biocompatible optical imaging agents, a novel triblock copolymer, designed as a multidentate ligand, was synthesized to...
متن کاملFusion and fission pathways of vesicles from amphiphilic triblock copolymers: a dissipative particle dynamics simulation study.
Dissipative particle dynamics (DPD) simulations are employed to study the fusion and fission dynamics of polymeric vesicles formed from amphiphilic triblock copolymers. The amphiphilic molecule is built from two hydrophilic blocks and a hydrophobic middle block. Two different pathways for both fusion and fission processes of two-component vesicles with polymer-based symmetric membranes have bee...
